He has hosted over 100 speaking engagements, including radio and television financial shows, financial institutions, Council on Agings, as well as, many local organizations throughout the New England area that have helped educate homeowners and advisors on the benefits of reverse mortgages.
Craig co-founded Senior Equity Financial with his brother Karl to continue their commitment to be leaders in the industry and assure homeowners are receiving correct information and the best possible service throughout the entire process. Craig is a graduate of Boston College. He is a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, and the Massachusetts Mortgage Association. He currently lives in Braintree, MA with his wife Laura.

Karl Phillips founded Senior Equity Financial with his brother, Craig. Since graduating from Providence College with a BS in Accounting, Karl’s entire career has been focused in the financial services industry. He began as a public auditor with one of the nation’s largest public accounting firms and then transitioned to the consumer side of financial planning and education. This eventually led him to concentrate in mortgage banking, with a specialty in reverse mortgages. While working for the nation’s largest reverse mortgage lender, Karl helped develop the #1 producing team in the country, year after year — an achievement that was earned not only through sales volume, but as a result of receiving the highest customer satisfaction awards.

Karl is a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association and the Massachusetts Mortgage Brokers Association. He currently lives in Brewster, MA with his wife and two daughters.

David Peterson is a leading reverse mortgage specialist with extensive knowledge and expertise gleaned from eight years of working with the nation’s leading home mortgage lenders. Since retiring as a high school math teacher and City Counselor, he has worked exclusively in the reverse mortgage industry. Juggling the multiple roles of husband, father and grandfather, homeowner, retiree, and active community member, David is aware of the dreams and needs of the older homeowner on a limited and dwindling income. Dave currently lives on the north shore in Medford with his wife.

John Ellison's 16 year career as a leading salesperson and manager in the consumer products and health care industries has contributed to his decision to join Senior Equity Financial, Inc. During John's more recent years with one of the nation’s largest health care companies, he has seen firsthand the challenges many families face when planning and paying for long term care.
John's background includes presenting information on current issues ranging from the impact of living longer, the need for personalized care, and the increased costs associated with today's health care needs. His seminars have helped educate the medical profession and have been presented to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, doctors and family members.
John's family has been involved in finance and banking for more than one generation, which has further aided his transition to the finance side of helping families plan for their future needs. John is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He currently resides in the Southeastern Massachusetts town of Raynham with his wife Liana and two kids.
